Our history
1943
Start of operations under the name of Fábrica de Hilados y Tejidos San Miguel.
1946
Manufacture of combed wool yarn and subsequent production of cashmeres.
1953
Creation of the Barrington fabrics brand, which, due to its quality and design, has positioned itself as a market leader to date.
1984
Acquisition of Rayon y Celanese S.A., a company engaged in the manufacture of various chemical products.
2008
Start-up of Aris Industrial S.A., formed by the Business Units (BU) Textile and Chemicals.
2012
Creation of UN Cerámicos following the assembly and start-up of the GALA brand ceramic tile production plant.
2012
AGROPUNTO, a chain of retail stores selling agricultural products, begins operations.
2015
Acquisition of Proquiandinos S.A. in Ecuador, a company engaged in the production of industrial chemicals.
2020
Acquisition of the company Ecuatoriana de Solventes S.A. - Solvesa - one of the main chemical product traders in Ecuador.
2021
Merger in Ecuador of Solvesa and Proquiandinos.
2022
Creation of Aris Colombia to offer products for Colombian agriculture.
